Tom Fogarty was a police officer-turned-Peacekeeper.

Biography

After the Rapture

He was the police man that helped the Young Tribulation Force catch André Dupree's killer LeRoy Banks. He became a Global Community Peacekeeper, and seemed so reluctant to accept Jesus Christ. His partner, Cal Trachsel, wanted to make sure Tom was okay, and told him that he would be beheaded if he didn't take the mark. However, Tom lied to him because he didn't want to lose his life. After going back inside, he revealed to the Young Trib Force that Cal had taken the mark of Carpathia on his hand.

Then, Tom and everyone from his house tried to get away from the G.C. He told them to get down as another Peacekeeper looked inside the window in his car. Tom then raced ahead, north to the Wisconsin border, and they all got into a van. Tom prayed loudly to God, and received the seal of God. Mark Eisman drove the van east, and Tom Fogarty finally became a believer.

Mark Eisman warned Tom and the other believers in Avery, Wisconsin, about the Global Community and that they were headed to the hideout, being led by Kruno Fulcire.

Tom survived to the Glorious Appearing. Conrad Graham saw Tom and Josey fleeing to safety with their adopted son, Ryan Victor Fogarty, to avoid a meteor from the seventh bowl judgment. Enoch said that the believers were protected from this judgment in any case.

• In the dramatic audio presentation, Tom rescued Ryan Daley after the latter was injured in the worldwide earthquake. Ryan dies regardless.
• In the dramatic audio presentation, Tom wasn't as hostile to Vicki Byrne as he was in Murder in the Holy Place, the 30th book of the Left Behind: The Kids series.
• Tom shares the same first name as Tom Gowin, one of the members of the Young Tribulation Force.
