Left Behind Wiki

Terrel Blancka was a Global Community commander appearing in Left Behind: The Kids. He is the main antagonist of the first half of Volume 4 of the dramatic audio presentation. He was in charge of the Morale Monitor program until his death.

Biography[]

After the Rapture[]

Commander Blancka was left behind during the Rapture because he did not believe in God. Even though he witnessed the disappearances, he ends up saying in book 15, "People don't just disappear!"

In the Dramatic Audio, he worked for the CIA. He says that the Global Community is less forgiving than his former employer and they do not do "transfers" for demoted employees. In the Dramatic Audio, he was executed by Suhail Akbar with a gunshot for failing to thwart the Young Tribulation Force.

Commander Blancka eventually became the head of the Morale Monitor program. Lionel Washington and Conrad Graham both watched as he gave orders to the Morale Monitors that were at that camp. Lionel, Conrad, Melinda Bentley, and Felicia were all assigned to the same group. Blancka wanted to stop the resistance that was occurring at Nicolae Carpathia High School.

Gustaf Zuckermandel, Jr. said he found Terrel Blancka's body in culvert near a church, with a gunshot wound from an execution. Vicki said he thought Commander Blancka was being reassigned, while Lionel sarcastically affirmed that Blancka was indeed reassigned "permanently". His ID was a cardboard box of identification collected from the deceased from the Wrath Of The Lamb earthquake and from people who turned up in a GC morgue. Zeke says he gets the wallets before the Global Community gets the body, and Zeke can use that identification to conceal believers with a new identity.

Personality[]

Blancka was very stern, and was shown to have a quick temper. He also had great disdain for believers. However, he was shown to be inept and incompetent, as Young Tribulation Force members escaped his grasp multiple times. He was very prideful, as the escape of Vicki Byrne and her friends smeared his reputation.

His military ID card revealed him to be a stocky man, who was wearing military medals and decorations.

In the Dramatic Audio, he demonstrated some courage before being executed by Suhail Akbar. He was mostly resigned to his fate and did not try to provide excuses for the escape of Darrion Stahley. When Akbar told him to turn around, he said, "No thank you, sir, I rather see it coming."
