Talitha was the deceased 16-year-old girl in Australia who was resurrected by a false messiah watching from a satellite live feed in England, with her father accompanied by the false messiah. The false messiah was wearing all black, and during the broadcast, knelt before a massive statue of Carpathia. But as the feed from Australia was being set up, Talitha's father learned that his daughter died twenty minutes ago. Her father asked the miracle worker to resurrect his daughter, saying that the miracle man was sent from god (i.e. Carpathia) and that whatever the miracle man asked Carpathia, he can do. The miracle man was impressed by the father's attitude, saying that he did not know anyone else in the Global Community with such a great deal of faith. This exchange paralleled the account of the healing of the centurion's servant in the gospels of Matthew and Luke. The miracle worker resurrected her by shouting "Talitha, wake up!" She then opened her eyes, and she stood up when the miracle worker said "Talitha, arise!" and embraced her mother. After her resurrection, she was seen on a broadcast kneeling before a statue of Carpathia. She appeared in The Rise of False Messiahs.

While Janie McCanyon was watching the broadcast of Talitha's resurrection, she was quizzical because she thought that only God can resurrect the dead (making the objection despite Nicolae Carpathia himself having already been resurrected). Marshall Jameson replied by saying that Tsion Ben-Judah said that Satan has the power to "deceive, kill, and destroy" like never before during the Great Tribulation. Marshall says that he does not understand it, but Satan can only do the things that God allows. Talitha's resurrection vividly illustrates an issue brought up by theologians and philosophers of religion that the performance of miracles is insufficient to substantiate one's claims of being a representative or prophet from God.

Her name is mostly likely derived from Jesus' command when he resurrected the daughter of Jairus in Mark 5:21-43. Jesus said to the daugther "talitha koum," which in Aramaic means "little girl, rise". Talitha means "little girl".
