Thomas Dexter "T. D." Jakes Sr. (born June 9, 1957) is an American entrepreneur and chief pastor of the The Potter's House, a 30,000 member church in Dallas, Texas, a non-denominational megachurch. He appears in a cameo role in Left Behind: The Movie as the vanished pastor Vernon Billings in the video made for those left behind. T.D. Jakes previously appeared as himself (in recorded footage of one of his sermons) in the Cloud Ten Pictures film Tribulation, and also appears in a movie adaptation of his self-help book Woman Thou Art Loosed.
