Ron Carlson was Vicki Byrne's English teacher during her 9th grade year at Nicolae Carpathia High School. He was also the advisor for the school newspaper, the Olive Branch. Mr. Carlson publicly expressed doubts that the writers of the Underground newspaper compared to the writers of classic literature. Mr. Carlson was in the same meeting as John Preston and Mark Eisman when they were questioned with the other students that worked on the school paper about the Underground newspaper. He is later teaching his English class when Greg Handlesman enters the room, asking for Vicki.
