Romania is a country in southeastern Europe where Nicolae Carpathia was born. He would also become that country's President at the time of the Rapture. During the Tribulation, it becomes a part of the United Carpathian States, even though the United Carpathian States are primarily composed of countries from the Middle East. Romania received that honor mostly likely because it the birthplace of the Supreme Potentate of the Global Community.
