Mr. Daley was the father of Ryan Daley, and Marjorie Louise Daley's husband. He thought of the Bible as "mumbo-jumbo", and never believed it. Mrs. Daley too never became a believer. When the disappearances occurred, Mr. Daley died in a plane crash, never becoming a believer. Mrs. Daley went to search for him the following morning, but died in an explosion, also never becoming a believer. That left Ryan Daley alone, later discovering the death of both his parents.

- Mr. Daley was the only father of an original Young Tribulation Force member whose first name was never revealed.
- Mr. Daley was the first character that died in the Left Behind universe that never made any appearances in any of the novels in the adult Left Behind series.
- Mr. Daley's older brother, Walter Daley, became a believer before he died. This was mostly because of Ryan's aunt and Walter's second wife, Evelyn.
- Cameron Williams once posed as Mr. Daley in order to negotiate a deal with Ryan's kidnappers in The Search, the 9th book in the Left Behind: The Kids series.
