This article is about a character from Left Behind: The Kids. Not to be confused with Qasim Marid, a character from Kingdom Come: The Final Victory.

Kasim Ameer was a former Global Community guard who later became a believer and a tribulation martyr. He was the son of Jamal Ameer and Lina Ameer, and the older brother of Young Tribulation Force member Nada Ameer. At the time of his death, Kasim planned and attempted to assassinate his former idol, Nicolae Jetty Carpathia.

Biography[]

Before the Rapture[]

Kasim was born in Jerusalem. He was raised to believe in Judaism by his parents. His sister Nada was born three years later.

After the Rapture[]

While the rest of Kasim's family believed in Jesus, Kasim was devoted to Nicolae Carpathia and volunteered to become a Global Community guard. He listened to Tsion Ben-Judah's televised message but didn't believe him at the time. Kasim knew about Ben-Judah, stating that he was the Global Community's number-one public enemy. Kasim's family tried to get him to believe. Nada even confronted Kasim at a Global Community training camp, which greatly embarrassed him. But deep down, even though he was adamant about his beliefs in the Global Community, Kasim had suspicions that Carpathia wasn't as good as everyone thought he was and that his parents may have been right. Kasim wrote about these thoughts in an online diary, which was later read by Judd Thompson Jr. Kasim met a fellow Global Community employee named Daniel Nieters, who told him about his beliefs in God. Even though Kasim didn't believe Daniel, Kasim didn't report him either.
