John Mallory was the Vice President of the United States during the first few weeks of the Tribulation. He is only mentioned in the novels, and his name is only given in the films. He investigated and unearthed the existence of Nicolae Carpathia's biological weapon and attempted to tell Gerald Fitzhugh, but was shot with a bazooka that exploded, leaving Gerald and the driver, James, severely injured.
