Eustice Honaker was one of the members of the group of believers living and hiding in Salem, Indiana. Judd Thompson Jr. and Lionel Washington stayed with Eustice and the rest of the Salem group when they were traveling to reunite with the Young Tribulation Force members in Wisconsin. Because of the dangers with the Global Community, Judd and Lionel were forced to stay with Eustice and his group for two months. After Judd and Lionel left Eustice and his group, the Global Community executed all the members in the Salem group by guillotine, including Eustice.

After the Rapture[]
He was among approximately a dozen believers who were living under a hidden compartment, about five feet high, in a old farm equipment store on the outskirts of Salem, Indiana. Eustice heard about a stolen boat on the Ohio River and that a manhunt searching for two unmarked individuals enlisted everyone in the southern half of Indiana to find them. Eustice said that someone on a bridge close to the boat had likely spotted them. Judd and Lionel told him that they stole the boat. In order to avoid being caught in the manhunt and not endanger the people in the safe house, Judd and Lionel stayed with them for weeks. This made Judd and Lionel frustrated since they were not able to continue on their journey to reunited with the Young Tribulation Force in Wisconsin. Before Lionel and Judd left the safe house, Eustice and the group gathered in a prayer circle around them to pray from them, Cheryl's baby, and the group in Wisconsin.
In the Dramatic Audio, Lionel and Judd show up at Eustice's hardware store at McGovern Street. Lionel and Judd were initially confused about Eustice since he acted normally as the proprietor of the store who was interested in conducting business with them. Judd told Eustice that they might have made a mistake going to the hardware store. Eustice announced that he was interested in helping them get back to their friends up north. Lionel asked whether Eustice was Eustice Honaker, and Eustice confirmed that he is Eustice "for the last 53 years". Eustice asked whether they were Lionel and Judd, but Judd said that they had the wrong guys. Eustice noticed that Lionel and Judd were mistrustful of him because Lionel and Judd had the impression that Eustice was a citizen of the Global Community trying to apprehend Judah-ite fugitives. Eustice said that they were looking at the mark of loyalty on his forehead, but Eustice told them to look closer because Eustice's mark was a fake sticker.
Judd and Lionel indirectly learn about Eustice's death and martyrdom by hearing conversations among the Global Community bounty hunters.
After Lionel was trapped in a rock slide, Judd was searching for help, and he was at the farm machine store where Eustice and the others lived. He saw some people outside who were smoking, but none of the people in the group smoked and they would not be outside anyway. A man in a Global Community uniform appeared to speak to the men as they stood at attention. He told them that Commander Fulcire will ensure that they will be rewarded for their actions as their vigilance resulted in a number of unmarked individuals being detained that night. The Peacekeeper continued that they did not give any information before they were "taken care of" as that was said in a euphemistic tone, but that they would believe the first report of two people leaving the safe house.
From Lionel's point of view while he was trapped in the rock slide, he also heard that a bunch of Judah-ites were captured under the old feed store. He also said that before they were taken to the guillotine, one of the younger ones told the GC that a couple of guys were heading north the night before. They were identified as one white and one black. This confirmed to Lionel that the Global Community had not yet caught Judd. The GC and bounty hunters did not find Lionel. Judd returned back to Lionel since he was able to find someone, a doctor with the mark of loyalty, Patrick Rose, who was willing to treat Lionel by taking him to his house and not tell the GC about them.
