Darkening Skies is the eighteenth book in the Left Behind: The Kids series, by Jerry B. Jenkins, Tim LaHaye, with contributions from Chris Fabry. It was originally released in October of 2001. This novella along with two others were later released in the compilation volume, Stung (Left Behind: The Kids).

With nowhere to turn, Judd Thompson Jr. and Lionel Washington must trust the son of a Global Community officer to lead them to safety. Fearful that Melinda Bentley will turn them in, Vicki Byrne and the rest of the Young Trib Force begin a frantic search for her. As another judgment rocks the planet, the kids wonder whether Judd and Lionel will ever make it home.

The first chapter begins with Judd Thompson Jr. lowering Kudrick's body to the ground, knowing the guard had died trying to protect Buck Williams and the others in the adult Tribulation Force.
