Charles Washington was the husband of Lucinda, and father to Lionel, Ronnie, Clarice and Talia. He, like most of his family, was believer in Christ and was taken in the Rapture.
He gave Lionel a pocket knife as a present for his thirteenth birthday. Lionel used it to cut off his arm with the assistance of Nurse Wanda.
