Bindura Rehoboth was one of the ten subpotentates chosen by Nicolae Carpathia put in charge of the United African States in the Left Behind series. He was a tyrant who pillaged his own country of Sudan and made multi-millionaires of his wives and children, and thus was greatly hated by his own people. He was so despised in his native Sudan that he located the opulent GC regional palace in Johannesburg rather than Khartoum, instead of choosing a more central location in Africa for the central administration. He was given the subpotentate position as an insult to Mwangati Ngumo, who had stepped down from his role as the Secretary-General of the United Nations expecting to be given both the subpotentate role and licensed use of the synthetic fertilizer formula created by Chaim Rosenzweig to help his own country Botswana. He and Ngumo were bitter rivals, and this rivalry came to a head around the time of the sixth Trumpet Judgment in Assassins, where there was an attempt to assassinate Nicolae Carpathia in South Africa. Global Community troops then killed Rehoboth and his entire family, which in the Global Community controlled media was reported as being the work of the sixth Trumpet Judgment, though it was never named as such. His subpotentate role was then given to Enoch Litwala.
"Rehoboth" as a last name appears in the Bible, and may indicate that the subpotentate's extended family hails from Namibia or South West Africa, as there are place names called that in those two territories.
